Congrats to GT Crew Alum Sean Gibel for making the national team!

GT Crew is extremely proud to announce that GT Crew Alum Sean Gibel has been named to the 2013 US Mens National Team. Sean will be competing, and representing the U.S. at the FISA World Rowing Championships, in Chungju, South Korea, later this month. He will be sitting stroke seat in the Men’s Lightweight 8, with teammates from Boston-based Community Rowing Inc. Sean was invited, earlier this year, to train with the CRI program, which was preparing a boat for the US National Team Trials, which they won, last week.

The lightweight 8 is a non Olympic class boat. As such, all expenses associated with the trip are completely self-funded by athletes, so he and his teammates need our help to get them there. Please show your support, by making a tax-deductible donation via their fundraising site:
All donations will go a long way towards getting them atop the podium in Korea!
Sean will be returning to Atlanta in the fall, to join the SARC coaching staff. Please make sure you congratulate him in person on this fantastic accomplishment.

Help us make a New Boathouse Happen!!

The team has the opportunity to store and row small boats near campus, but we need your help to get them on the water. Can you imagine cutting our drive to the river by two-thirds? Help us make it happen!
